The dishwasher: it’s very simple, we promise! We provide a supply of tablets under the sink – you’ll toss one into the bottom of the dishwasher.  While the dishwasher is still open, press the needed selections, press start, and then close the door shut and it will begin washing. 

The fridge/freezer: you shouldn’t need to adjust any settings. If you run into any difficulties (e.g. it’s not cooling efficiently) please let us know.

Electric range/oven: 5 burner electric stovetop.  To use the oven: For example, press bake, select your temperature using the up and down arrows, then press start.  You can then select the timer feature and adjust your cook time.  

You’ll find a panel on the living room wall that allows you to control the temperature of the downstairs unit. There is also one at the top of the stairs for the upstairs unit.  If you’re running the air conditioning, please ensure that all windows and outside doors are closed to ensure it operates at the maximum efficiency. We recommend a setting of 72F / 22C which we find keeps the place at a comfortable temperature.

We have a washing machine and separate dryer located in the utility room next to the kitchen. There is a supply of detergent that you’re welcome to use as you wish. To operate the machines, simply select the program you want, place the detergent in the tray, close the door, and hit start.

We drain, sanitize, and refill our hot tub after each guest.  Chlorine is added to help maintain the water, however, if there is heavy use of the hot tub or your stay is extended you may want to add more chlorine.  There is a small clear container with a black lid located above the refrigerator in the kitchen.  Please add only 1 teaspoon a day directly into the pool.
